Salary: R7500 R10000 per month

About the Opportunity

A luxury lodge in the Vaalwater area is seeking an experienced and capable Horse Guide to join its team. This role requires a confident rider with strong guiding abilities and a passion for guest experiences in a safari environment.

Key Requirements

Must be able to ride confidently

Minimum qualification: CATHSSETA NQF Level 2 (or equivalent guiding qualification)

All qualifications must be up to date

Previous experience in a guiding or equestrian safari environment advantageous

Strong guest interaction and communication skills

Physically fit and able to work in a bush environment

Passion for wildlife horses and hospitality

Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays

Key Responsibilities

Guide horseback safari experiences for guests

Ensure guest safety at all times during rides and activities

Conduct pre-ride briefings and horse assessments

Care for horses including tack checks and general welfare monitoring

Deliver engaging and informative guest experiences in the bush

Maintain professional standards of guiding and guest service

Assist with daily stable and operational duties where required
