We are renowned for our innovative approach to cell captive structures and other alternative risk transfer solutions for our clients. Guardrisk offers clients custom designed cover and is registered in South Africa as an insurer for all statutory classes of non-life and life insurance business.

The role will play an integral part at Guardrisk working in a unique environment along with our clients and internal teams to review and sign off on new/changing products and pricing. This role includes technical pricing work working on multiple other facets of the solutions working with clients structuring of deals solving interesting problems in the business and management of the Pricing team.

Main Responsiblities:

• Support pricing strategies for new and existing group and individual life insurance products.
• Review and refine pricing models to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
• Develop robust technical pricing models.
• Ensure regulatory and professional compliance by reviewing new products against relevant guidelines.
• Contribute to the structuring and negotiation of new deals to optimize business outcomes.
• Lead and mentor the Pricing team providing guidance to junior actuarial analysts.
• Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to communicate complex technical insights effectively.

Experience and Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science Mathematics Statistics or related field
• Qualified Actuary
• Experience in life insurance pricing
• Experience with managing a team would be advantageous
