Head of Water & Sanitation

A leading organisation is seeking an accomplished executive to lead the origination and development of transformative investment opportunities within the Water & Sanitation sector. Our client is seeking a strategic leader with extensive development finance and infrastructure experience to drive sector growth build high-impact partnerships and develop innovative funding solutions that support sustainable economic development.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic direction and investment pipeline for the Water & Sanitation sector.
• Identify originate and develop bankable infrastructure projects across the public and private sectors.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with government municipalities utilities development partners and private sector stakeholders.
• Drive sector research market intelligence and policy engagement to position the organisation as a leader in infrastructure development.
• Oversee governance reporting and compliance across investment activities.
• Champion digital transformation and innovation within the business unit.
• Lead mentor and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Extensive executive-level experience within development finance infrastructure investment project finance or corporate finance.
• Proven expertise in water sanitation or related infrastructure sectors.
• Strong experience in deal origination investment structuring and business development.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with senior government officials development finance institutions investors and strategic partners.
• Exceptional leadership stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial financial and analytical capability with experience leading complex investment portfolios.
• A relevant postgraduate qualification will be highly advantageous.
