HazTech Supervisor Port Elizabeth

The leading Waste Management Firm in South Africa is seeking an experience HazTech Supervisor to join their team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to and arrangingclean-ups of hazardous material incidents the coordinationand management of resources to ensure the execution of all activities in order to achieve regional will have to execute and plan small and large projects according to scope and method statements as well as enforce compliance to company customer industry and legal standards in particular with regards to safety.

In order to be considered for this role you must have the following:

• Grade 12 with relevant waste industry qualifications

• A minimum of a 4 week Hazmat operation course as well as having completed training for
  confined space entry rescue and working on heights training

• Qualified fire fighter

• Basic ambulance course

• Certificate in First Aid Level 2

• Project management course would be an advantage

• Dangerous goods training with PRDP

• 3 5 years related experience

• 3 years experience in the implementation of HSE and management of SHEQ Management
  Systems.

• Experience with hazardous materials handling

• Experience with confined space entry

• Experience with project execution

Key Accountabilities (But not limited to):

• Supervise response to incidents

• Site co-ordination

• Internal and external audits facilitation

• SHEQ requirements

• Sales and customer care function

• General administration

• Manage staff (as per group policy)

• Maintenance of equipment
