Job Summary
Technically strong accountant required to support Group Finance across reporting consolidations financial statements B-BBEE reporting and process improvement initiatives. This role offers exposure to group reporting automation projects and strategic finance activities.
Job Description:
- Assist with monthly group reporting and consolidations
- Prepare and analyse management accounts and board reporting packs
- Support interim and annual financial reporting requirements
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements
- Support the external audit process
- Manage and coordinate B-BBEE reporting and verification processes
- Prepare debtors risk assessment reports
- Perform financial analysis and investigate reporting variances
- Drive reporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with ad hoc accounting finance and reporting projects
Skills & Experience:
- Strong technical accounting and IFRS knowledge
- Experience in financial reporting and annual financial statements
- Group reporting and consolidation experience advantageous
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to take ownership
- Systems-oriented with an interest in automation and process improvement
Qualification:
- BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification.
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles advantageous.
