The Group Controller is responsible for Group consolidation and financial reporting ensuring accurate timely and US GAAPcompliant results across all subsidiaries.
The role drives consistency in financial reporting strong SOX compliant internal controls and adherence to governance frameworks with a focus on executive reporting.
KEY TASKS
Group Financial Reporting & Consolidation
Lead monthly quarterly and year-end close processes across the Group
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP
Manage full Group consolidation including intercompany eliminations and adjustments
Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reporting packs including variance analysis and insights
Governance Controls & Compliance
Establish and maintain SOX-compliant internal control frameworks
Ensure adherence to financial policies delegated authorities and governance standards
Conduct internal control reviews and audits tracking remediation actions
Coordinate and support external audits
Financial Integrity & Operations
Maintain the integrity of the Group general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
Review and approve provisions reclassifications and journal entries
Ensure statutory regulatory and tax compliance across all jurisdictions
Oversee payroll governance and compliance across subsidiaries
Strategic & Continuous Improvement
Drive process optimisation and reporting improvements
Support business cases capital appraisals and investment decisions
Enhance financial visibility to support executive decision-making
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualification:
Accounting degree from a recognized institution
Experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in an accounting role.
Candidates with more extensive Group reporting or consolidation experience will be strongly preferred.
Proven experience in Group consolidation and multinational environments advantageous.
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
Advanced Excel skills
Experience preparing financial statements under US GAAP or full IFRS
Strong knowledge of Group consolidations
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Stakeholder Engagement
Regular interaction with the CFO internal accounting teams and shareholder representatives (including their accounting teams)
Ability to communicate financial insights clearly at an executive level
Additional Information
Travel: Minimal (occasional if required)
Working Hours: 10:00 18:00 (aligned to shareholder time zones)
