Fynbos Dienssentrum Kleinmond

Fynbos Dienssentrum is a programme of Badisa a joint ministry action of the Dutch Reformed Church (Western Cape) and the United Reformed Church of South Africa (Cape). Applications are invited from motivated people with a proven management background and a positive attitude towards the elderly.

The designated candidate will report directly to the Governing Board tasked with operationalising the strategic vision through targeted management tasks and the optimal utilisation of resources and services. The incumbent will be expected to provide for the care of the elderly in a safe and friendly environment as well as the development of community-based services for older persons.

The manager in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team will be responsible for the overall management and quality assurance of the Service Centre Housing Development and Care Centre including:

• Financial and human resource management
• Supervision of the nursing care catering and cleaning services
• Marketing communication and fundraising to ensure that the home can provide sustainable appropriate services
• Asset management and maintenance of buildings and grounds
• Risk management occupational health and safety
• Marketing and fundraising
• Liaison and networking with stakeholders and building long-term relationships with strategic partners.

The ideal candidate has a post-matric qualification the ability to lead and motivate a team as well as the ability to timeously identify and solve problem areas.

Knowledge and experience of personnel and financial management labour legislation marketing and fundraising as well as computer skills are further requirements. Previous management experience and understanding of the unique challenges and operational dynamics related to social care and development work will serve as a strong recommendation.

Compensation includes a negotiable salary as well as medical and pension fund benefits.
