Position Overview

Law firm is seeking a well-rounded General Litigation Attorney to join our legal team in Alberton. The ideal candidate will have 35 years post-admission experience with a proven track record in general litigation and family law. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute matters related to general litigation including but not limited to civil disputes contractual matters personal injury and property disputes
• Handle family law cases including divorce maintenance custody and related proceedings
• Draft legal documents pleadings contracts and affidavits
• Represent clients in court prepare for hearings mediations and arbitrations
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients in relation to litigation and family law
• Communicate and negotiate with clients counsel and opposing parties
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and legal developments

Required Qualifications & Experience

• LLB degree and Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa
• Minimum of 35 years post-admission experience in general litigation and family law
• Solid courtroom and negotiation skills
• Strong drafting and legal research abilities
• Able to manage own caseload independently and efficiently
• Experience in handling divorce maintenance and custody matters
