Job Summary
Our client is looking for a talented Full Stack Java Developer to join their growing development team. This opportunity is suited to a hands-on professional who enjoys building scalable applications solving complex technical challenges and contributing to software that supports critical business operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend solutions using Java and Spring technologies.
- Build intuitive Angular frontend applications.
- Design maintain and optimise MySQL databases.
- Develop secure RESTful services and integrations.
- Participate in GitLab-based development code reviews and CI/CD activities.
- Investigate and resolve production issues while improving application stability and performance.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver practical technical solutions.
- Produce technical documentation and contribute to automated testing initiatives.
- Support Agile delivery through sprint planning and estimation.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science Software Engineering or similar.
- Minimum of 5 years commercial software development experience.
- Strong Java Spring Boot and Angular expertise.
- Experience with TypeScript RxJS and REST APIs.
- Excellent SQL and MySQL knowledge.
- Experience supporting production systems.
- Strong communication analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of secure software development practices.
Desirable Experience
- Spring Data Spring Cloud or Spring Batch.
- Docker Linux AWS Azure or GCP.
- Microservices and messaging technologies.
- JUnit Mockito Cypress or Karma.
- Financial Services Insurance or similar industry exposure.
