Job Summary
RPO Recruitments client a well-established civil engineering contractor in South Africa is seeking an experienced Foreman with extensive water infrastructure experience to join their team in Gauteng.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on site.
- Manage site labour subcontractors plant and materials to ensure efficient project execution.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to project programmes and milestones.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with project specifications drawings and quality standards.
- Enforce and maintain health and safety compliance on site.
- Coordinate with Site Agents Engineers and Contracts Managers regarding project progress challenges and resource requirements.
- Oversee reinforced concrete works including formwork reinforcement and concrete placement.
- Ensure productivity targets are achieved while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering or similar qualification
- 1015 years of solid experience as a Foreman within the civil construction industry.
- Proven experience working on water retaining structures including water treatment plants reservoirs and water towers
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete construction methods and quality control requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proven experience managing labour teams and subcontractors on large civil projects.
- Strong leadership communication and organisational skills.
