- Completed articles or commercial accounting experience with commercial exposure preferred.
- Strong understanding of budgeting financial analysis and operational finance.
- Experience working with stock and inventory.
- Willingness to travel regularly to operational sites.
- Strong Excel and financial reporting skills.
- Exposure to AI automation or technology-driven process improvements.
- Act as the finance link between Head Office and operational sites ensuring accurate and timely financial information flows between teams.
- Visit operational sites regularly to understand business performance financial processes and operational challenges.
- Support budgeting forecasting and financial planning across operational locations.
- Analyse site performance costs variances and key financial drivers providing meaningful insights to management.
- Monitor stock inventory movements and related financial information identifying discrepancies and areas of concern.
- Partner with operational teams to improve financial controls reporting and overall financial performance.
- Investigate variances and work with site teams to understand the operational drivers behind the numbers.
- Support month-end reporting reconciliations and other core accounting activities.
- Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes through automation and AI-enabled solutions.
- Assist with implementing improved reporting tools processes and controls across the business.
- Provide practical financial guidance to operational stakeholders and management.
- Strong commercial and operational finance understanding.
- Excellent analytical numerical and problem-solving abilities.
- Confident and assertive personality with the ability to challenge constructively.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across both finance and operational teams.
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to spend time on-site.
- Strong understanding of budgets cost drivers stock and financial performance.
- Technology-driven mindset with an interest in AI automation and process improvement.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger commercial picture.
