Job Summary
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
- Prepare accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Develop and manage budgets forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS tax legislation and statutory reporting requirements.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Implement and improve financial controls policies and procedures.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends risks and opportunities.
- Oversee accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger functions.
- Manage treasury and cash flow to ensure optimal working capital.
- Support business decision-making through financial modelling and analysis.
- Mentor lead and develop the finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives and business planning.
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting Finance or a related field (essential).
- Professional registration (CA(SA) CIMA or SAIPA) will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in financial management.
- Proven experience managing a finance team.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of financial reporting budgeting forecasting and cash flow management.
- Sound understanding of IFRS taxation and South African financial legislation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working on ERP or financial systems.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
