This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys getting into the detail analysing profitability improving processes and maintaining rock-solid financial controls.
- Maintaining the General Ledger and accurate reconciliations
- Processing and reviewing journals accruals and provisions
- Managing bank creditor and debtor reconciliations
- Monitoring Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Assisting with budgets and financial forecasts
- Analysing actual vs budget variances
- Providing meaningful financial insights to management
- Ensuring compliance with VAT PAYE and Income Tax
- Assisting with audits and liaising with external auditors
- Maintaining and improving internal financial controls
- Performing effective cost accounting
- Analysing scenarios to identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Supporting and improving accounting operational and warehousing systems
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Essential:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- Minimum 5 years relevant Financial Accounting experience
- CIMA or SAICA qualification
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Understanding of IFRS for SMEs
- Pivot Tables
- Advanced functions
- Automated integration
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking ability
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS
Experience within a manufacturing and/or agricultural environment will be a definite advantage particularly if you have exposure to:
- Cost Accounting
- Inventory Accounting
- Xero
- Meshed ERP
- Warehousing systems
