Job Summary
Our client a reputable and growing organisation based in Century City is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Accountant to join their finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate who has completed their SAIPA or CIMA articles and has gained approximately 2 years of post-article experience within a commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Assist with budgeting forecasting and financial analysis.
- Prepare VAT calculations and statutory submissions.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
- Analyse financial performance and provide insights to management.
- Assist with cash flow management and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Liaise with external auditors and assist during audit processes.
- Contribute to process improvements and finance projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- BCom Accounting Financial Management or related qualification.
- Completed SAIPA or CIMA articles.
- Minimum 2 years post-article accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of management accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with accounting and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Commercial finance experience.
- Exposure to budgeting forecasting and financial analysis.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
