A well-established organisation within the retail sector is seeking a hands-on Finance professional to join their team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This opportunity is ideally suited to an individual with strong payroll processing experience sound reconciliation abilities and excellent attention to detail. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are available for a contract opportunity then this role could be for you.
Job Description:
- Prepare and process monthly payroll
- Process overtime leave incentives and payroll adjustments
- Maintain employee payroll records and banking details
- Handle payroll-related queries and investigations
- Perform payroll reconciliations and monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Process and reconcile payroll cashbook transactions
- Reconcile company credit cards and prepare supporting reports
- Assist with monthly reporting and finance administration
- Support the Finance team with ad-hoc projects and reporting requirements
- Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
Skills & Experience:
- Previous payroll processing experience is essential
- Experience working within a high-volume payroll environment
- Strong reconciliation skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Experience with payroll-related reporting and administration
Advantageous:
- Experience using PaySpace
- Exposure to retail FMCG or similar high-volume environments
- Immediate availability or short notice period
Qualification:
- Relevant Finance Payroll or Accounting qualification
