Join a growing and dynamic finance team
An exciting opportunity is available for a Financial Accountant to join a well-established and growing organisation based in the heart of Cape Towns City Bowl. This role is ideal for a candidate who has recently completed their SAIPA articles and has gained 1-2 years of post-articles commercial experience looking to take the next step in their career within a professional fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the general ledger
- Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes
- Prepare annual financial statements
- Manage VAT calculations and submissions
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Liaise with auditors and support annual audit requirements
- Monitor cash flow and support treasury functions
- Ensure compliance with financial policies controls and statutory requirements
- Assist with process improvements and finance projects
Minimum Requirements
- BCom Accounting or related qualification
- Completed SAIPA Articles
- 1-2 years post-articles finance/accounting experience
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
- Experience preparing management accounts and financial statements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
