Job Description:
Successful candidates will typically be responsible for supporting the finance function through accurate financial processing reconciliations reporting and compliance activities. Depending on the level of the role responsibilities may extend through to the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting commercial decision-making.
Skills & Experience:
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Bank creditor debtor and balance sheet reconciliations
- General ledger maintenance and journal processing
- Cashbook management and cash flow monitoring
- VAT and statutory compliance support
- Payroll processing support
- Month-end reporting and reconciliations
- Preparation of trial balances and management accounts
- Budgeting and forecasting support
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Audit preparation and assistance
- Maintaining strong financial controls and accurate financial records
- Working with ERP and accounting systems to improve efficiencies and reporting
- Experience in bookkeeping accounting or finance roles
- Strong Excel skills
- Exposure to ERP or accounting systems such as Sage Xero Pastel SAP Dynamics NetSuite Syspro or similar
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Qualification:
- Relevant qualification in Accounting Finance or Bookkeeping
- BCom Accounting advantageous
- SAIPA or SAICA articles advantageous
