Duties & Responsibilities
Our client a leader in the financial services sector is seeking a Financial Manager to take full responsibility for the financial reporting and control of a key business cluster. This role forms part of a strategic finance function reporting directly to senior leadership and contributing at an executive level.
You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timeous financial reporting overseeing financial controls managing a small finance team and ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. This role also includes involvement in strategic planning budgeting forecasting and audit management.
This is a high-impact position suited to a commercially astute finance professional who can balance operational execution with strategic input while maintaining strong governance and control.

You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timeous financial reporting overseeing financial controls managing a small finance team and ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. This is a high-impact position suited to a commercially astute finance professional who can balance operational execution with strategic input while maintaining strong governance and control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial reporting function including consolidation and presentation of cluster financial results.
- Oversee and continuously improve financial controls systems and processes.
- Manage complex accounting entries journals and reconciliations.
- Take ownership of budgeting forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including tax submissions (VAT PAYE Income Tax etc.).
- Facilitate and manage internal and external audits.
- Monitor cash flow working capital and financial efficiency.
- Provide strategic financial input to leadership and contribute to executive decision-making.
- Oversee payroll function across the group.
- Lead and develop finance team members ensuring performance and succession planning.
Job Experience and Skills Required: NON NEG
- CA(SA) qualification (essential).
- Minimum 5 years post-articles experience in a financial management role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Solid understanding of taxation and regulatory frameworks (e.g. FSCA).
- Proven experience in financial controls reporting and audits.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise.
- Strong leadership communication and stakeholder management skills.
