Job Summary
Our client in the refrigeration and beverage dispensing industry is seeking to employ a Field/Warehouse Technician & Driver to join their team based in KZN.
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Valid drivers licence with a good driving record.
- Technical experience in refrigeration electrical mechanical or a related technical field.
- Previous driving and delivery experience.
- 12 years refrigeration or technical experience will be advantageous.
- Non-negotiable safe gas handling license and valid drivers license for 3 years or more.
- Knowledge of refrigeration and dispensing equipment.
- Basic mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and willing to travel frequently.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose repair service and maintain refrigeration and beverage dispensing equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance sanitising testing and equipment inspections before dispatch.
- Deliver collect install remove and transport refrigeration equipment stock glassware and parcels safely to and from customer sites.
- Complete daily job cards delivery notes service reports and other operational documentation accurately.
- Maintain company vehicle tools equipment and vehicle stock in good working order.
- Assist with warehouse operations including receiving dispatching stock counts scanning inventory control and housekeeping.
- Load and unload equipment safely while adhering to company safety procedures.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance requirements.
- Monitor and request replacement stock spare parts and consumables when required.
- Respond to customer service requests professionally and within agreed service levels.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through professional service delivery.
- Follow all health safety environmental and company policies including safe refrigerant handling procedures.
- Assist with emergency breakdowns overtime and ad hoc operational duties as required by management.
- Support operational efficiency by identifying recurring equipment faults and escalating technical issues where necessary.
Working Conditions
- Combination of warehouse-based and field-based work.
- Frequent travel to customer sites and operational locations.
- Overtime may be required based on operational demands.
- Physical lifting loading and movement of equipment forms part of the role.
