Job Summary
Field Guide position available at a premier luxury game reserve in the Garden Route Western Cape.
We are seeking a passionate guest-centric individual to join our conservation and hospitality team. This role offers an incredible opportunity to work in a unique free-roaming Big 5 environment while delivering world-class safari experiences to international and local guests.
Position Overview
- Role: Field Guide / Ranger
- Salary: R13000 R17000 per month (negotiable based on experience and current qualifications)
- Location: Near Mossel Bay Western Cape
- Benefits: On-site accommodation meals while on duty and uniform provided
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Relations: Conduct professional informative and engaging morning and evening game drives.
- Conservation & Wildlife: Host specialized bush walks fynbos tours and conservation activities.
- Hospitality: Welcome guests assist with luggage and host select dinners or bush braais.
- Asset Care: Ensure the safari vehicle and guiding equipment are meticulously maintained and clean.
Requirements
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a Big 5 or luxury lodge environment is highly advantageous.
- Qualifications: Nature Guide qualification NQF2/4
- Certifications: Valid DEAT/NDDT registration PrDP (Public Transport Permit) and First Aid certificate.
- Firearms: ARH (Advanced Rifle Handling) is a major plus.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills fluent in English and strong interpersonal traits.
