Job Summary
Our client is actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Feed Mill Team Leader (Trainee) to join their manufacturing operations in Bloemfontein Free State. This trainee role is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to develop leadership skills within a production environment focusing heavily on quality control team coordination and manufacturing efficiency.
To succeed in this trainee role and ensure the production line operates efficiently candidates must possess the following key competencies and skills:
- Technical/Industry Expertise: Feed Manufacturing Quality Control Ingredient Accuracy verification Product Uniformity Equipment Troubleshooting and Reporting.
- Performance & Leadership Traits:
- Operations Coordination & Planning: Strong planning and organising skills to oversee daily manufacturing processes and ensure staff are performing their duties according to established procedures.
- Resilience & Critical Thinking: The ability to work well under pressure coupled with meticulous attention to detail when conducting quality checks.
- Problem Solving: Quick troubleshooting abilities to address equipment malfunctions and minimize production downtime.
- Relationship Building: Proven capability to build positive work relationships and communicate effectively with team members.
Requirements & Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent to NQF 4.
- 1 Year of Supervisory experience will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of feed mill machinery and equipment will be advantageous.
- Valid RSA drivers license with own transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular quality control checks on the feed which includes thorough inspections for ingredient accuracy and final product uniformity.
- Take responsibility for manufacturing feed according to established formulas and strict quality standards while ensuring all staff members perform their duties as per the standard operating procedure.
- Actively troubleshoot and address any production issues or equipment malfunctions promptly to minimise operational downtime.
