External Sales Engineer Jhb

Our client is seeking an External Sales Engineer to join their team based in Johannesburg. The primary focus of this role is to develop strong new relationships with customers bring in enquiries successfully negotiate orders and actively promote the sales of Generator Sets and associated services.

In order to be considered for this role you must have the following:

• Minimum 5 years of generator experience is essential.

• Knowledge of the dealer network in the generator or solar industry.

• Matric or a formal electrical qualification; a recognised Electrical Trade Electrical Diploma or N3 qualification will be advantageous.

• Experience in the sales field and an understanding of how MV installations work is advantageous.

• Computer literacy specifically MS Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Word.

• A legal drivers licence and a willingness to travel extensively including frequent overnight stays.

• Good negotiating and presentation skills with English language proficiency.

• An understanding of Health and Safety on construction sites and industrial premises.

Key Accountabilities (But not limited to):

• Direct selling to customers and generating new sales leads for Generators Power Kits Diesel/Technical Services Repair and Parts.

• Visit assigned customers according to planned calling schedules and maintain an updated customer database.

• Prepare budgets estimated potential and planned profitability per customer.

• Obtain enquiries prepare quotations and follow up to conclusion.

• Submit a monthly sales report and obtain information on competitors products pricing and strategies.

• Assist with technical queries product launches technical presentations and trade shows.
