Are you passionate about youth development conservation adventure and the African bush

An exciting opportunity is available for an Expedition & Environmental Facilitator/Guide to support youth development community and environmental programmes in the Hoedspruit area.

THIS IS MORE THAN A GUIDING ROLE!

Youll work alongside young people throughout different Expedition phases helping facilitate their development and wellbeing while supporting conservation community and adventure projects.

THE ROLE INCLUDES:
Facilitating community conservation & environmental projects
Leading managing & supporting youth groups
Providing pastoral care & supporting youth development
Delivering community & environmental education
Supporting Trek & Adventure phases
Assisting with camp & Expedition operations
Maintaining participant safety & upholding programme standards

IMPORTANT: This is an off-grid expedition environment. You must be comfortable with tents cold showers communal living remote locations and physically demanding work.

Requirements


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
FIELD GUIDE qualification / CATHSSETA Nature Site Guide qualification
Valid First Aid Certificate
Valid PDP
South African citizen or valid right to work in South Africa


ADVANTAGEOUS
Youth development or volunteer management experience
Knowledge of Lowveld ecology & conservation
Strong practical bush / maintenance skills
Community engagement or environmental education experience
