Role Overview

A dynamic organisation is seeking a commercially minded Chartered Accountant to work closely with the CEO on strategic initiatives operational improvement projects and new business opportunities.

This is not a traditional Executive Assistant or accounting role. It offers a CA(SA) the opportunity to move beyond technical finance and gain hands-on exposure to business strategy operations mergers and acquisitions project execution and executive-level decision-making.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO helping to assess opportunities translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and drive key projects across the group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the CEO in evaluating and executing strategic projects and business initiatives.
  • Translate strategic priorities into practical plans timelines and deliverables.
  • Conduct financial analysis modelling valuations and commercial assessments.
  • Develop business cases and assess potential investments acquisitions and growth opportunities.
  • Conduct market research benchmarking and competitor analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and operational efficiencies.
  • Track project progress risks budgets and performance measures.
  • Coordinate projects across multiple business functions and stakeholders.
  • Prepare executive reports presentations proposals and recommendations.
  • Monitor strategic priorities and executive KPIs.
  • Support the management of BBBEE-related projects and initiatives.




Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA).
  • Completed SAICA articles.
  • Strong financial modelling analytical and commercial capabilities.
  • Exposure to strategic projects business improvement or executive-level reporting.
  • One to three years of post-articles experience would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to mergers and acquisitions corporate finance valuations or transaction advisory would be beneficial.
Newly qualified CAs with strong commercial acumen and an interest in strategy and operations are encouraged to apply.
