Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate electrical schematics wiring diagrams single-line diagrams and panel layouts using EPLAN Electric P8.
- Develop and maintain electrical design documentation for LV switchboards MCCs control panels and automation systems.
- Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) terminal plans cable schedules and manufacturing documentation.
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant electrical standards customer specifications and company design practices.
- Liaise with electrical engineers project managers workshop personnel and procurement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Revise and update drawings based on engineering changes and client requirements.
- Support manufacturing teams during panel assembly and factory acceptance testing.
- Maintain drawing revisions and document control procedures.
- Assist in standardizing electrical designs and improving engineering efficiencies.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma N6 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Draughting.
- Minimum 3 years experience using EPLAN Electric P8.
- Experience designing LV switchboards motor control centres (MCCs) distribution boards or industrial control panels.
- Strong understanding of electrical components protection devices PLC I/O instrumentation and control systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical specifications and engineering standards.
- Good understanding of manufacturing and panel-building processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and document accuracy.
