Environmental Consultant

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic environmental professional to support and contribute to environmental and social impact assessment projects. This opportunity is well suited to a candidate with a few years of relevant experience who is looking to develop their technical and project management capabilities within the environmental consulting field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the delivery of ESIA processes including scoping baseline studies impact assessments mitigation measures and monitoring plans.
• Support stakeholder engagement and consultation activities.
• Assist with preparing ESIA reports and other environmental and social documentation.
• Help ensure projects comply with relevant local national and international environmental and social standards.
• Provide environmental support and technical input to project teams.
• Contribute to environmental assessments research data analysis and project documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• BSc degree in Environmental Science Geography or a related field.
• A Masters degree or equivalent qualification will be advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in environmental consulting ESIA or a related field.
• Good understanding of environmental assessment processes and applicable legislation.
• Exposure to stakeholder engagement and consultation processes.
• Knowledge of international lender standards will be advantageous.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical organisational and problem-solving abilities.
