Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Engineering Lead on behalf of a client to play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of next-generation digital onboarding and servicing solutions within a complex financial services environment. Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of digital onboarding and servicing solutions.
• Facilitate design workshops and collaborate with architecture development testing and business teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Drive the modernisation of existing platforms ensuring solutions are efficient secure and aligned to future technology strategies.
• Provide technical leadership across cloud integration API middleware and payment system initiatives.
• Take ownership of engineering outcomes and guide delivery teams through the full software development lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Relevant 5-year qualification or certification in Computer Science Information Technology Programming or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in software engineering solution design or architecture.
• Proven experience designing and integrating digital channel solutions within banking or fintech environments particularly in onboarding and servicing platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies particularly Azure including API integration containerisation and CI/CD practices.
• Experience working with orchestration and middleware platforms payment systems databases ETL processes and enterprise integration solutions.
• Exposure to technologies such as Java C# Python Spring Boot Azure DevOps Terraform Chef MS SQL PostgreSQL REST APIs SOAP Services and API security.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently take ownership of complex initiatives and drive outcomes with minimal supervision.
• Strong leadership stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills with a growth mindset and passion for continuous learning.
