Embedded Architect

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled Embedded Architect to join our clients engineering team in Irene Centurion. This position is ideal for a technically driven professional who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and shaping the future direction of embedded products deployed at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and govern embedded hardware and firmware architecture standards.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies components and development platforms.
• Design reliable secure and scalable embedded systems.
• Review schematics hardware designs and firmware implementations.
• Define test strategies covering validation automation and field performance.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical decision-making processes.
• Support connectivity solutions including cellular communications and remote device management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering product and operations teams.
• Drive performance reliability power efficiency and security improvements.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and future product strategy.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electronic Computer or Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive embedded systems design and development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of microcontrollers processors and embedded architectures.
• Strong proficiency in Embedded C/C development.
• Experience with RTOS and real-time system design.
• Knowledge of embedded security principles and secure firmware practices.
• Experience with debugging tools hardware validation and board bring-up.
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to influence technical direction and mentor engineering teams.
