Job Title:
Electrician -Trade Tested
Job Purpose:
Our client is seeking a professional responsible for ensuring plant and machinery operate efficiently throughout their lifecycle through effective maintenance and optimisation while supporting production teams in achieving production and quality targets.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out inspections as per preventative maintenance schedule
- Report any discrepancies to the maintenance supervisor and raise corrective action job cards
- Complete ad hoc repairs and maintenance tasks
- Ensure machinery operates safely at all times
- Request spare parts in a timely manner
- Handle and maintain all tools with care
- Conduct fault finding on equipment
- Ensure maximum availability of equipment and utilities
- Participate in continuous improvement and optimisation of preventative maintenance plans
- Assist with daily start-ups and mandatory start-up checks
- Complete all repairs to required engineering standards safely and within required timeframes
- Assist fellow artisans where required
- Take ownership of assigned area
- Liaise with suppliers and assist with basic spares management
- Perform panel building tasks
- Complete CMMS administration tasks
- Raise and close job cards
- Assist with training documentation and operator training
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations allergen control housekeeping and pest control standards
- Participate in personal hygiene checks
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum N4 Electrical qualification
- Trade test qualification is essential
- Minimum 5 years experience working as an electrician in a similar environment
- Experience working with automated machinery
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and drive systems experience
