Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Electrician / Maintenance Technician to join the CoegaPort Elizabeth team on a contract basis
- Carry out routine maintenance and preventative servicing on electrical equipment and machinery
- Assist with troubleshooting fault diagnosis and repairs of electrical systems
- Maintain and repair electrical components including panels motors wiring and control systems
- Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company standards
- Provide basic mechanical assistance when required
- Perform inspections to identify potential faults hazards or maintenance needs
- Accurately complete maintenance records job cards and reports
- Maintain a clean organised and safe working environment
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Qualified Trade Tested Electrician
- 13 years experience in an industrial or maintenance environment
- Sound knowledge of electrical systems circuits and fault-finding techniques
- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings
- Valid drivers license with own reliable transport
- Must be based in the Port Elizabeth / Uitenhage area
Required Skills:
Grade 12 Trade Tested Electrician 13 years experience in a maintenance or industrial electrical environment Solid understanding of electrical circuits control systems and fault finding Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics Valid drivers license and own transport essential Candidate must reside in the Port Elizabeth / Uitenhage area
