Electrical Specialist

PG Bison a proudly South African and world-class manufacturer of wood-based decorative panels and associated products is seeking an experienced Electrical Specialist to join our dynamic Engineering team.

In this critical role you will be responsible for providing specialist electrical expertise to enhance plant reliability energy efficiency and operational performance across our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will lead electrical optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives ensure compliance with all relevant electrical regulations and standards and support the successful execution of strategic electrical and renewable energy projects.

• Successful implementation of solar CapEx projects according to committed framework.
• Overall management of current solar systems to realise maximum benefit from assets/investments.
• Set energy optimisation targets for division and drive teams to achieve targets.
• Create electrical standards and drive implementation across division.
• Build and maintain successful relationship with Eskom.

• BEng/BSc/BTech/BEngTech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Minimum of 15 years related experience.
• Proven ability to work with solar CapEx projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to identify and implement energy optimisation projects.
• Ability to problem solve analyse and manage electrical continuous improvement projects.
• Deep understanding of electrical legal compliance and implementation of standards.
• Ability to communicate well and work well with site teams to implement changes.
• Ability to liaise with Eskom would be an advantage.
