A specialist electrical engineering company focusing on protection relays power system automation and substation solutions is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join its growing team. The successful candidate will be involved in the design programming testing and commissioning of critical power infrastructure projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

Education:

BEng Electrical Engineering

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Experience within power systems substations or protection systems
Knowledge of protection relays and electrical networks
Understanding of SCADA and automation systems
Strong technical troubleshooting abilities
Excellent report writing and communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and develop electrical protection schemes for medium and high-voltage systems
Configure and program protection relays and intelligent electronic devices (IEDs)
Perform relay coordination and protection studies
Conduct FAT and SAT testing
Support commissioning activities on substations and power infrastructure projects
Prepare technical documentation single-line diagrams and protection schematics
Perform fault analysis and system investigations
Liaise with clients contractors and utility stakeholders
Assist with SCADA integration and automation projects
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations
Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers
