Ecommerce Engineer Head of Ecommerce Technology

Our client within a leading retail and digital commerce environment is seeking a highly experienced Ecommerce Engineer to take ownership of their ecommerce technology function in Linbro. This is a senior-level opportunity suited to a strategic thinker who can bridge technology and business while driving ecommerce growth platform stability and innovation.

Requirements:

• BSc Degree in IT Computer Science Software Engineering or related field (non-negotiable)
• Extensive senior-level experience in ecommerce or digital commerce engineering
• Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms (Shopify Magento WooCommerce or similar)
• Solid frontend and backend development skills (HTML CSS JavaScript PHP or Python)
• Experience with REST APIs system integrations and cloud platforms (AWS Azure or Google Cloud)
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and Git version control
• Experience with website performance optimisation and technical SEO
• Proven leadership capability in cross-functional environments
• Strong commercial acumen and business understanding
