Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Driver to join the Port Elizabeth team
- Safely operate company vehicle for the collection and delivery of raw materials packaging products and finished goods
- Ensure on-time deliveries to customers suppliers and between company facilities
- Verify loads against delivery notes and ensure correct documentation (delivery notes invoices etc.) is completed
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are clean roadworthy and serviced timeously
- Comply with all traffic laws health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Manage and be hands-on with the loading and offloading materials when required
- Maintain a professional image when interacting with clients and suppliers
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Valid drivers license: Code 10 / Code 14 is essential
- Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit) is essential
- Valid Forklift certification is essential
- Minimum 5 years driving experience in a manufacturing/logistics environment
- Clear driving record with no major accidents or infringements
- Must be of sober habits
- Knowledge of local routes in the area/ region
- Ability to handle basic paperwork and delivery documentation
