Draughtsman & Estimator

DRAUGHTSMAN & ESTIMATOR / EAST LONDON

REQUIREMENTS:

• Certificate or qualification in Drafting and design.
  NQF 4 or NQF 5 Draughting Qualification.

• AutoCAD Certification.

• 2 to 3 years experience in aluminium and glass manufacturing.

• Knowledge of AAAMSA and SAGGA standards.

• Bizman software experience.

• Excel skills.

• CAD skills.

• Strong Excel and estimating skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing manufacturing drawings and accurately estimate on aluminium windows doors shopfronts etc.

• Prepare quotes and drawings for clients.

• After client sign off put jobs into production.

• Drafting and Design: Produce technical shop drawings elevation designs and cutting lists using computer software like AutoCAD and Bizman.

• Estimating and Costing: Calculate material quantities (glass aluminium profiles hardware) and prepare accurate tenders bills of quantities (BOQs).

• Project Support: Liaise with architects clients and site managers take on-site measurements and assist with project tracking through to installation
