Job Summary

Are you passionate about scuba diving and live entertainment As a Stage Staff Diver youll play a unique role in supporting spectacular aquatic performances and underwater stage operations aboard a cruise ship. This position combines professional diving skills with backstage technical support to help deliver unforgettable entertainment experiences for guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform underwater duties during rehearsals and live productions.
  • Ensure the safety of performers divers and equipment during aquatic shows.
  • Inspect maintain and set up diving and underwater stage equipment.
  • Assist with underwater scenery props lighting and special effects.
  • Support the Stage Staff team with technical operations before during and after performances.
  • Conduct routine safety checks and equipment maintenance.
  • Follow all company safety procedures diving regulations and environmental standards.
  • Interact professionally with guests when required and represent the entertainment department positively.
Minimum Requirements
  • Open Water Scuba Certification (PADI SSI NAUI or equivalent).
  • Documented recreational or professional diving experience.
  • Excellent swimming ability and physical fitness.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Stage technician or live entertainment technical experience is highly preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced multicultural environment.
  • Ability to obtain or already possess required maritime certifications (STCW Seafarers Medical etc. depending on the cruise line).
Preferred Skills
  • Rescue Diver Divemaster or higher diving certification.
  • Experience with stage automation lighting sound or rigging.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Calm under pressure with excellent teamwork abilities.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing operational needs.
