Digital Delivery Lead

REPORTS TO

Technical Principal or any other person appointed to supervise him/her from time to time.

PRIMARY POSITION PURPOSE

Provide and undertake complex design modelling and production tasks prepare tender/construction documents and provide technical support services in meeting the requirements of the functional group and its clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 3D Modelling detailing and quality audits on outgoing drawings/ models

• BIM implementation

• Standardisation of all drawings on project

• Develop Autodesk templates/ Libraries tools processes to maintain standards

• Participating in office technical discussions and project delivery meetings

• Mentor train and provide technical support to junior staff

• Conducting conceptual and detailed design and drafting in order to prepare technical drawings and documentation

• Provide practical and economical solutions to project deliverables

• Applying a deeper understanding of modelling principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems

• Maintain a high level of Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) and modelling expertise and engineering knowledge

• Undertake supervisor role and lead on projects

• Coordination of multi-disciplinary work on projects

• Contribute to the overall utilisation management and profitably of the functional group

• Ensure drawings and documentation are to the highest quality

• Maintain client satisfaction

• Strictly adhere to SMECs Management System (MS) quality standards and OHS procedures

• Assist Project Managers with site queries and reporting solutions

• Parametric Modelling

• Model Federation and rendering development

• Automation and coding

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

• To work independently and self-motivated to produce accurate drawings to a high standard within set deadlines

• Be responsible for ensuring quality model and drawing outputs across all regions within the function

• Be responsible for growing the BIM capability within the team

• Prepare to travel and remain out of South Africa for short periods liaise with client representative and consultants from other disciplines.

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Professional Registration in Draughting (Autodesk Certified) in Civil Engineering Projects. (Bulk Water & Sewer)

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience

• Minimum of 5 years in similar position

• Some key experience in relevant Water Infrastructure projects

• Proficiency in Revit C3D QGIS and any other discipline associated software essential

• ACC / BIM360 and Projectwise Proficiency

• Modelling and Detailing to LOD 400-500

• Experience working on major infrastructure/ building projects
