Job Summary
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced DevOps / System Administrators to support enterprise infrastructure application server environments and CI/CD pipelines within a fast-paced production-critical environment. The role focuses on Linux administration JBoss management infrastructure automation and deployment orchestration using modern DevOps tooling.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management
- Perform advanced Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu or equivalent enterprise distributions)
- Install configure and maintain JBoss / WildFly application servers
- Perform JBoss tuning and performance optimisation
- Monitor server health troubleshoot incidents and ensure high availability of systems
- Manage patching upgrades and system security hardening
- Support production environments with incident and problem resolution
Automation & Configuration Management
- Implement infrastructure automation using Chef
- Develop and maintain Chef cookbooks and recipes
- Ensure consistent configuration across development testing and production environments
- Drive infrastructure standardisation and reduce manual operational effort
CI/CD Pipeline Management
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Atlassian Bamboo
- Manage source control and branching strategies using Bitbucket (Git-based workflows)
- Automate build test and deployment processes across multiple environments
- Support release management and deployment activities
- Improve deployment reliability through automation and pipeline optimisation
Requirements
Technical Requirements
- Strong experience in Linux administration (enterprise environments)
- Hands-on experience with JBoss / WildFly administration and tuning
- Proven expertise in Chef configuration management
- Strong working knowledge of Bamboo CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Bitbucket / Git version control systems
- Scripting experience (Bash / Shell / Python advantageous)
- Understanding of system monitoring logging and alerting tools
- Knowledge of networking security and infrastructure best practices

- Strong production support and release engineering background
