Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing technology environment. This intermediate-to-senior opportunity is ideal for a technically versatile professional with strong cloud CI/CD infrastructure automation and operational support experience who can help improve the reliability and efficiency of software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
- Work with pipelines-as-code and tools such as GitHub Actions GitLab Bitbucket Azure DevOps and ArgoCD.
- Deploy and automate application updates fixes and releases across environments.
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Support containerised workloads across serverless and container orchestration platforms.
- Provide Level 2 technical support for operational and delivery-related issues.
- Investigate incidents perform root cause analysis and implement lasting solutions.
- Troubleshoot availability performance and capacity challenges.
- Develop scripts automation tools reports and visualisation solutions.
- Implement configuration management and automation practices.
- Support monitoring alerting and operational visibility across infrastructure and application layers.
- Manage database scripting for extracts fixes and deployments.
- Develop and maintain procedures for system troubleshooting maintenance and operational support.
- Apply shift-left security principles throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
- BSc degree or equivalent qualification.
- At least 4 years relevant DevOps or cloud engineering experience.
- Proven experience implementing CI/CD and release automation.
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience using tools such as Terraform CloudFormation or Bicep.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
- Experience with serverless and/or Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and cloud-native technologies.
- Experience with monitoring alerting and operational support.
- Experience administering servers software and shared application environments.
- Ability to investigate and resolve availability performance and capacity issues.
- Strong scripting and software development capability.
- Development experience particularly Java would be advantageous.
- Exposure to configuration management tools such as Ansible Puppet Chef or Salt.
- Strong incident investigation and problem-solving skills.
Advantageous Experience
- Exposure to both AWS and Azure.
- Experience with AI platform and MLOps technologies such as KServe inference gateways Istio MCP agent runtimes and MLflow.
