Job Summary
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Public Administration or Law; A minimum of 3 years middle management experience.
Competencies
Knowledge of the following: The Constitution and Local Government suite of Legislations-ie. Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000 Municipal Structures Act 117 of 1998; Political Environment; Drafting legislation; Human Resource Management;Financial Management.Skills in the following: Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word Excel PowerPoint); Communication (written and verbal); Good interpersonal and decision-making; Supervising staff; Planning and Organising; Language; Research; Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
