Job Summary
Leading FMCG distributor (cold and ambient products) requires a Distribution Centre Manager in Durban who will assume full accountability for effective operation and profitability of the DC.
Duties include:
- Inventory management and stock loss investigation and reporting
- Management of multiple warehouse teams
- KPI management and upskilling
- IR and HR management
- Continuously improve the performance of the depot
- Manage and measure warehouse performance based on best practice.
- Maintain and arrange maintenance for freezer equipment and machinery.
- Management of driver and forklift operators (licenses PDPs and renewals)
- Manage departmental expenses within budget
- Display a leadership role in Food safety practices
- Comply with all legal requirements legislations processes and protocols
- Apply best practice methodologies to improve DC operation
- Manage the dispatch tracking and return of over 60 trucks
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics / Operation / Supply Chain
- 3-5 years Warehouse Management experience
- WMS experience (essential)
- Cold Storage experience (essential)
- ERP system knowledge (Pastel advantageous)
- Transport and Fleet Management advantageous
