Job Summary

Were looking for a Data Scientist - Level 2 who is ready to take ownership solve problems independently and contribute meaningfully to project delivery.

As a Data Scientist - Level 2 youll operate as an independent contributor working across multiple problems within a project and delivering high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.


Key responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver multiple data science work-streams within projects.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and guide modelling.
  • Design build and evaluate machine learning models.
  • Perform feature engineering and data preprocessing at scale.
  • Translate business problems into structured analytical solutions.
  • Write clean scalable and well-documented code.
  • Validate and interpret model results communicating findings clearly.
  • Collaborate with engineers product teams and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to solution design discussions.
  • Support and guide junior team members where needed.




Requirements
  • 13 years of experience in data science machine learning or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning and data science fundamentals.
  • Experience with tools such as Pandas NumPy Scikit-learn.
  • Exposure to PyTorch or TensorFlow (advantageous).
  • Ability to work independently across multiple tasks.
  • A STEM degree (BSc minimum; strong academic performance preferred).



Required Skills:

Required Education:

Bachelors Degree (BSc BEng BCom Honours BSc Honours MSc or equivalent) in: Data Science Computer Science Statistics Mathematics Engineering Actuarial Science Physics Or another quantitative STEM discipline Excellent academic record throughout university studies Degree obtained from a recognised and reputable university or higher education institution Strong results in mathematics statistics machine learning programming or related quantitative subjects
