Data Engineering & BI Lead (Hybrid Cape Town)Candidates must be based in Cape Town!
Salary R80 000- R90 000

This is a high-impact hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the CEO responsible for building and scaling the organisations end-to-end data infrastructure BI reporting and analytics function.

Key Requirements:
5 years experience in data engineering with strong BI exposure in a platform or B2B2C environment
Advanced SQL and Python (pandas Airflow dbt)
Strong experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouses from scratch
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure)
Proven ability to build and maintain BI dashboards (Power BI Tableau or Looker)
Strong understanding of data governance data quality and documentation standards
Experience translating complex data into clear business insights for senior stakeholders
Commercially aware with strong problem-solving and communication skills
Experience with cohort analysis and segmentation frameworks advantageous

Nice to Have:
Payment gateway or transaction data experience
Mobile app analytics (e.g. AppsFlyer)
Retool or similar low-code tools
Board-level reporting experience
