Job Summary

An exciting opportunity is available for an analytical and commercially minded Cost & Progress Manager to monitor and control CAPEX and OPEX across enterprise and mobile consumer operations.

The successful candidate will ensure expenditure remains within approved budgets identify cost leakages and overruns and provide management with clear reporting and recommendations to support corrective action.


Key Responsibilities
  • Track and report CAPEX and OPEX against approved budgets and cost baselines
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis and investigate cost overruns
  • Identify areas of cost leakage wastage and non-conformance
  • Monitor costs relating to rework penalties and contract breaches
  • Prepare periodic cost and progress reports highlighting risks trends and recommended interventions
  • Partner with finance procurement project and operations teams to implement cost-control measures
  • Support budgeting and forecasting using accurate cost data and trend analysis
  • Maintain cost-tracking tools and dashboards
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls procurement policies and governance standards
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
  • An Engineering qualification and telecommunications industry exposure would be advantageous
  • 47 years experience in cost management cost control financial analysis or a related field
  • Experience within telecommunications enterprise IT or mobile/consumer operations is preferred
  • Strong understanding of CAPEX OPEX and project cost-control methodologies
  • Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities
  • Experience using ERP and cost-management systems
  • CIMA ACCA PMP or another relevant cost-management certification would be advantageous
