Job Summary
Our client a well-established automotive manufacturing company based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Cost Accountant to join their finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse cost reports budgets and forecasts
- Monitor production costs and identify variances
- Maintain accurate standard costing and BOMs
- Assist with inventory management and stock valuations
- Perform reconciliations and support month-end processes
- Provide insights to improve cost efficiency and profitability
- Work closely with operations and production teams
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Accounting Finance or Cost Management
- 25 years experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive experience advantageous)
- Strong understanding of costing principles and financial analysis
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
