Job Summary
Im seeking experienced Control Systems Engineers with a background in industrial automation PLC programming and SCADA systems. This opportunity is ideal for engineers who have delivered automation projects within manufacturing mining utilities or process environments and are looking to work on complex control and optimisation initiatives.
Job Description:
- Design and develop industrial control systems
- Program configure and troubleshoot PLC and SCADA systems
- Develop functional design specifications and control philosophies
- Support system integration commissioning and site acceptance testing
- Conduct fault finding and root cause analysis on automated systems
- Configure industrial networks and communication protocols
- Collaborate with electrical instrumentation and operational teams
- Provide technical support and continuous improvement recommendations
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience in Control Systems or Automation Engineering
- Strong PLC programming experience
- Experience with SCADA and HMI development
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols
- Experience commissioning and troubleshooting automated systems
- Strong understanding of electrical control circuits and industrial automation principles
- Experience within manufacturing mining water treatment utilities or process industries advantageous
Qualification:
- BEng BSc BTech or National Diploma in Electrical Electronic or Automation Engineering
- Registration with ECSA advantageous
- Relevant PLC or SCADA certifications advantageous
