Contracts Manager Mining

Our client is a well-established construction company seeking an experienced commercially astute and results-driven Contracts Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a construction professional with extensive mining infrastructure civil works experience who can take overall responsibility for the successful delivery and profitability of multiple projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years experience within the civil engineering and construction industry with extensive hands-on experience in mining infrastructure civil works
• Minimum 57 years experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager capacity preferably overseeing multiple sites and projects
• Proven experience within mine-related civil construction and infrastructure projects
• (SACPCMP) or (ECSA) registration is highly advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery profitability and performance of assigned construction projects.
• Lead project planning and programme management ensuring project timelines milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Monitor project financial performance budgets cash flow and margins while identifying and mitigating commercial risks before they impact profitability.
