Contract Manager

A leading client in the energy and infrastructure sector is seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to oversee the commercial and contractual performance of high-voltage transmission substation and transformer projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in NEC and FIDIC contract administration commercial risk management and stakeholder engagement within complex construction environments. This opportunity is suited to a commercially astute professional who thrives in fast-paced project environments and can confidently manage contractual obligations from project inception through to close-out.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage contracts under NEC and FIDIC frameworks with NEC preferred.
• Manage contract risks compensation events claims variations and payment processes.
• Ensure contractual compliance with client requirements and project obligations.
• Provide commercial and contractual guidance to project and construction teams.
• Oversee subcontract agreements negotiations and dispute resolution processes.
• Support project delivery teams with commercial reporting and contract administration.
• Drive effective stakeholder engagement across clients consultants and contractors.

Requirements:

• Degree in Law Quantity Surveying Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 710 years experience in construction contract management.
• Proven experience working with NEC and FIDIC forms of contract.
• Experience within EPC/PC infrastructure transmission substation or energy projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial management claims and contractual risk.
• Excellent negotiation communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure deadline-driven environments.
