Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Site Agent to lead the successful delivery of large-scale civil road construction projects.
Job Description:
- Manage civil engineering construction projects from planning through to completion
- Oversee daily site operations and ensure projects are delivered safely efficiently and to the required quality standards
- Coordinate site teams subcontractors suppliers consultants and other stakeholders
- Monitor project progress programmes resources and costs
- Ensure construction activities comply with project specifications and contractual requirements
- Identify and resolve construction challenges and project risks
- Maintain effective communication with clients consultants and project stakeholders
- Drive projects through to successful completion and handover
- Minimum 510 years experience in civil construction with strong road construction experience
- Proven experience with COLTO/COTO Class 1 and Class 2 road projects
- Experience managing 23 similar projects valued above R30 million
- Strong project management leadership and site coordination skills
- Good knowledge of construction planning scheduling and cost control
- Proficiency in Candy and/or MS Project
- Strong communication problem-solving and decision-making skills
- BTech or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering or BEng / BScEng in Civil Engineering
- SACPCMP and/or ECSA registration
- Professional registration will be advantageous
