Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Minimum of National Diploma / BSc or in Mechanical Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in automotive or similar engineering environment
  • Component/system development and testing experience
  • Exposure to engineering data systems and cross-functional teamwork

Technical and Behavioural Competencies:

  • Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills
  • Project management and planning ability
  • Good communication interpersonal and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • High degree of computer literacy (Outlook Excel PowerPoint)

Key Performance Areas:

  • Design develop test and release components in line with company standards
  • Adapt designs to African market and environmental conditions
  • Apply preventative and corrective engineering tools
  • Ensure quality safety and reliability compliance before production release
  • Prepare and maintain accurate engineering and technical data
  • Manage engineering changes in line with production build levels
  • Support production localisation and cost optimisation initiatives
  • Participate in cross-divisional projects and technical forums
